Response to “Fruit flies cause concern”

There is a lot of talk about fruit flies in Rotuma and the ban on certain fruits in this news column but the question is what measures the Ministry of Agriculture has taken to wipe out this plague? Banning fruits from Rotuma coming into Fiji is not the answer, the Rotuman people need to know what the Ministry had done, how effective these measures taken to control the fruit flies and when can the Rotuman people be able to bring these type of fruits again to Fiji?
