The Mobil Oil facility, opened in February 1997 by the President of Fiji, Ratu Mara. The tanks, located on the road to the village of Fapufa, hold fuel supplies which are pumped in by tankers anchored offshore via a pipeline that extends beyond the reef. The project was built at a cost of F$375,000. |
