Granville beats Ra‘esea to win games

GRANVILLE of Nadi took out the overall title of the annual Rotuma Games at the Airports Fiji Limited grounds in Namaka, Nadi on Saturday.

In the main rugby competition, Granville won all the three round robin matches. The side defeated Sarafui, Ra‘esea and Satarua.

In the feature match, Granville beat defending champions Ra‘esea 11-6.

Ra‘esea club president Kevin Iroa said they would need to step up for next year after losing the title.

"The event will be held in our territory in Suva so we will be focusing on our preparations early," Iroa said.

Grandville also won the men's volleyball competition. Ra‘esea finished second overall.

The club won the touch and netball competitions. Ra‘esea won the best dressed team title as well
