Flying Fijian celebrates birth of first child

BEING selected into the Flying Fijians Pacific Nations Cup squad was a joy for Ravai Fatiaki.

And it was a fantastic way to celebrate his selection when his wife Kelera gave birth to her first child Ateca Fatiaki last Monday at the CWM Hospital.

The strong running Naitasiri inside centre was one of the local players that impressed the national selectors in last week's trials.

The birth of his daughter should bloster the 24-year-old at the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup next month.

Fiji takes on Tonga on July 2 at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Ravai was influential for the Air Pacific Fiji Warriors during the Pacific Rugby Cup earlier in March.
