By Pravin Narain

SARAFUI won the 2017 Rotuma Games which was held in Suva yesterday.

Rotuma Games Council president Paul Moeava said they had a successful competition.

"It was a successful competition and all the credit goes to the hosting club, Sarafui, for organising a very good competition this year," he said.

"Teams had a good outing this year.

"We had Lautoka, Nadi, Sarafui, Ra'esea and Satarua competing in this year's competition."

Moeava thanked all the teams for making the tournament a success.

"We are trying to improve the competition in future," he added.

"Teams displayed very good performance and we want to get more support from the businesses to come and help us since we struggle financially."

Sarafui won the 15s rugby with women's netball and mixed netball while Ra'esea won the touch rugby and men's volleyball, Satarua won the women's volleyball and Mairo of Lautoka.
