News from Auckland: The Auckland Rotuman Methodist Fellowship's request to have Reverend Jione Langi's ministry in New Zealand extended for a year has been granted, so beginning in February 1997 Rev. Langi will begin a new assignment as pastor to the Rotuman Community in New Zealand. His current ministry, ending on January 31, 1997, is to all Fiji Methodists in New Zealand: Fijians, Fiji-Indians, and Rotumans. Henceforth he will minister exclusively to the Rotumans.

Susau Strickland was elected to the position of Vice-President of the Methodist Church in New Zealand for 1997-8. She takes office in November 1997.
