ROTUMA
A culture I must share
Beginning with a myth so prepare
Formed out of nowhere
By a prince who indeed dare
Pouring sand on rocks everywhere
Forming an island never found elsewhere
Where sandy beaches are white
Indeed the ocean reflects it's light
The linguistic technique I'm keen to speak
But it's tough special and unique
Through dance filled with grace
The seven stars we wear and embrace
The morals kept in my mind
With teachings elders left behind
The bounty of food gardening and fishing
The abundancy nature is giving
From the boy who rode the turtle
To a lady who cried out a pool
Whom once fell like a fool
For that pool there is indeed a rule
All legends I must cherish
To the next generation so it does not perish
